Pauley Creek - Not Just Another Day on the Rive

Paddling Pauley Creek provided some much needed reminders. I still
felt knocked on my butt from this cold that seems to be lingering and
was reluctant to paddle. After putting on the river, I was so glad I
did. Some of the drops were so fun that I was giggling by the time I
hit the bottom!

Bringing my sense of adventure to career pursuits has resulted in
one heck of a resume. Since graduating from law school, my jobs have
included practicing law at one of the largest firms in the world;
guiding sea kayaking tours in Monterey; instructing skiing at Squaw
Valley; teaching creative writing and running the library at a middle
school; and practicing law at a small healthcare law firm. The lawyer

ELF boating

After my injury on Farmington creek in May 2009, I have seriously pondered reasons to paddle runs with ELF flows....
One screwup and the season could be over due to the carnage handed to the body from banging over rocks, flows too high to stop yourself, flows too low to even roll upside down let alone roll right side up!!
Too bad, there are many runs in Utah that only run ELF!
What to do???? Maybe my other hobbies during ELF season or choosing a non ELF run is tFull

The UWC leadership changed, and is now more aggressively promoting the club. Apparently they stepped on some toes and now some of the non clubbers feel like they don't have a voice.Full
