This stretch of the Poudre is considered an intermediate/beginner run, however, given the infamous bridge abutment known as “Killer Bridge” I would reconsider taking anyone down this stretch that can’t confidently maneuver obstacles. The move isn’t that difficult but the consequences could be deadly. The second potential hazard is Red House Hole located at mile marker 114.2. This hole has been known to be a keeper hole at higher levels.

| | Put-In Located at approximately mile marker 113 on Colorado Highway 14. | | Killer Bridge Class IV- This is the biggest and most consequential rapid on this run. The top of the rapid is going to be around a big rightward bend in the river. Approach this bend on the right side and immediately cut left when you see the big boulder. after clearing the first wave, cut right quickly. From here you can ride straight down the right side or move to center. The slot move comes about 2/3 of the way down the rapid. You're going to see to big boulder's in the middle which may or may not be covered depending on water level. a move between the boulders and a cut down the left side through the bridge should see you through this one. | | | Take-Out Located at mile marker 114.7 on Colorado Highway 14. |
