| | Put-In From I-70 go north on Highway 9 about 38 miles to the north end of Green Mountain Reservoir. Turn onto the dam access road, continue across the dam and take a right down to the put-in.
|
 | Green Mtn Dam Class I The put-in requires a 1/4 mile drive downhill to the bottom of the dam. Due to 9/11 the feds have placed an agent/security guard at the top of the dam 24 hours a day. Access to the bottom of the dam is allowed between 8:00a.m. and 8:00p.m. seven days a week; so if you are doing a late night run park your vehicle at the top of the dam and walk down. Please be courteous to the guard and land owners as this is a "sensitive" area and we don't want to loose access. |
 | Put-in Trail Class I Park about 0.1 miles past the bottom of the hill next to the open field. Walk across the flat grassy field to the far right (south) corner. The put-in trail is basically a brutally steep dirt slope, but is only 100 yards long. Some lower their boats using a throw-bag. There may be alternate access for rafts. |
| | 2 dams Class II There are two diversion dams about 100 yds apart as you begin to exit the tall cliff section of the canyon. They are horseshoe shaped with the apex pointed upstream and made from piles of rocks. Keep some speed and roll over the apex. There is a sign warning you on the right for the first dam. |
