Put-In
Stone Bridge
291 Bridge
Class II+
Just below the bridge is a small rapid with some rocks and a few technical moves or wave trains and holes depending on flow.
Squaw Creek
Class III-
The creek enters on the right and forces the river into a left hand curve. There are lots of rocks and a limited channel at low water. Easier at medium flows (II+).
Shavano Hatchery low-head dam
Class III-
There are warning signs for this dam, telling you to scout and run the boat chute on river left. DO NOT RUN THE DAM. The boat chute consists of three drops and easy eddy access.
